I've got a 2016 Honda Accord that's been my faithful daily driver for years now, and honestly it's been bulletproof up until recently, but over the past couple of weeks I've started hearing this strange groaning noise whenever I turn the steering wheel, especially when I'm parking or doing slow-speed maneuvers. It almost sounds like the power steering pump is struggling, but the thing is, this car has electric power steering so there's no pump or fluid to worry about, which makes me think it could be something like a worn steering rack bushing, a failing EPS motor, or maybe even a bad intermediate shaft. I took it to a general workshop near my place in Al Majaz and they had a quick look, told me it was probably just normal wear and tear, and sent me on my way, but the noise has only gotten worse and now I'm starting to feel a slight vibration through the steering wheel as well, which is definitely not normal. I really don't want to mess around with steering components because that's a safety issue, but I also don't want to go to the dealership and pay their insane diagnostic fees if I can avoid it. I work in Industrial Area 11 and I've noticed a few garages around there that seem to specialize in Japanese cars, so I'm thinking there must be a reliable Honda garage in Industrial Area 11 Sharjah that actually knows what they're doing with these electric steering systems and can properly diagnose the issue without just guessing and replacing parts randomly. I'm hoping someone here can recommend a specific workshop because I'm starting to get a bit nervous driving the car and I want to get this sorted as soon as possible before it turns into something more serious. If you've had a similar steering issue on your Accord and found a place that fixed it properly, please let me know because I really need some guidance here.
